Administrative Coordinator
We are seeking a full-time Administrative Coordinator to provide operational support and event/project coordination to the Center.

As a professional development and research organization, we support 35 - 40 projects per year with a team of 20 coaches that need you. If hired, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming environment in our office space. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the overall health and success of the Center through tasks that support our team of coaches in planning and preparing centerwide trainings as well as various projects, on-site in schools, and bridging communication between our community, Teachers College, and partner organizations.
At a minimum, candidates for this role will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to utilize multiple resources for problem-solving and collaboration. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and enjoy supporting the success of others!

Primary responsibilities for this role include:
Providing in-office support: Representing CPET as the first point of contact for our community and potential partners. Supporting the CPET community with a variety of needs, including, but not limited to: answering phones; responding to requests for information and services; monitoring departmental email; scanning and copying; managing invites and RSVPs for CPET events. Collaborate with CPET administrators, initiative leads, and coaches to complete time-sensitive projects.
Providing advance and day-of event coordination: securing catering, rooms, and technology for events; preparing materials & handouts; assisting with setup and cleanup on day of event.
Acting as a liaison with multiple offices at Teachers College: Duplicating, AVI, Financial Aid, Accounts Payable, etc. to complete projects and resolve questions/concerns.
Supporting research and data: Assist with researching potential grant applications and make recommendations for potential funding opportunities; manage the feedback database and create data reports for individual workshops, and workshop series; provide support on CPET research projects for Review of Literature and data management; create individualized data reports for NYS high-stakes exams.
Supporting systems & financial processes: Support the maintenance of spreadsheets & databases to ensure functionality of department; manage coaching documentation in support of department billing & payments; support the hiring process ensuring timely postings, applicant communication, and communication with CPET Program Leaders; oversee project budgets for materials and hospitality services.

Professional Development Fellow for K-12 Educators
We are currently seeking Teachers College students who are enrolled in a Master's, EdM or Doctoral program, possess three or more years of K-12 teaching experience, and are interested in expanding their skills in professional development.
This Fellowship provides students with an opportunity to engage in real-world projects, develop coaching and professional development skills alongside seasoned facilitators, receive mentorship and customized support through experiential and project-based learning, and cultivate transferable professional skills beyond the classroom.
We are currently recruiting for all subject areas and grade levels.

The right candidates will:
- Be enrolled in a MA, EdM, or Doctoral degree program at Teachers College, Columbia University
- Have a passion for education and a desire to work alongside other educators
- Have three or more years of teaching experience in grades K-12 (Elementary, Middle, and/or High School)
- Have experience working within one/some of the these specific content areas: Math, Humanities, Social Studies, Science, ELA, Special Education, ELL/ENL
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be self-motivated and capable of working both collaboratively and independently
- Be familiar with one or more of the following: curriculum planning, project-based learning, differentiating instruction, assessment design, creating classroom culture, literacy instruction, data-informed instruction
The ideal candidates will also have:
- Teaching/coaching experience in NYC public schools
- Familiarity with performance tasks and how they operate in a cycle of assessment
- Experience with international education
- Experience and interest in facilitating through multiple modalities
