From now through June, CPET will be providing a wide range of resources that will be available to all readers taking part in #OneBookNY. These resources will encourage readers to engage with this year's selection - Americanah, by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - with each other, and will help bring the book to life. We will invite readers to connect, question, contemplate, and create alongside the text as individuals, facilitators of book clubs, and as teachers.

Readers can find & engage with these invitations through our site, social media accounts, and a weekly recap sent out via email. In addition to participating in online discussions, readers can also follow along with the book by tuning into our podcast - coming soon!

Teachers who want to bring the One Book, One New York selection into their classroom will have all the support they need with CPET’s original, Common Core-Aligned Unit Plan and a free professional development workshop for teachers who sign up. To be the first to hear when these resources become available, sign up for our mailing list & follow us on Twitter.

One Book, One New York is a unique project that was launched by the New York City Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment earlier this year, in an effort to bring New Yorkers together to choose a text for a city-wide book club and join in a shared reading experience. The votes have been tallied, and New York has spoken: Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's novel Americanah is this year's selection.

Over the next three months, CPET will be providing a wide range of resources that will be available to all readers. These resources will engage individual readers, members & facilitators of book clubs, and teachers. We will invite all readers to connect, question, contemplate, and create alongside the text.

In addition to online resources, we'll also be offering free workshops in each borough this spring. To be the first to know about these events and when new resources are released, sign up for our mailing list.
