Final thoughts
What have you learned or experienced over the past year that could potentially expand teaching and learning?

This past year has emphasized the value of perspective, self-care, and just pausing to reflect and see a bit more. Give yourself the same grace you're trying to give everybody else.

I do think that I started to burn out — the wheel was spinning so fiercely in the beginning, and I just couldn't keep up the momentum. If I could go back, I would look ahead to the long-term — I definitely looked ahead to June, and then in June I looked ahead to November. I was thinking very short-term and not within a two-year scope and sequence.

It's okay to offer grace and flexibility, and it's okay if things don't happen the way that they've always happened or the way that you expected them to happen. This gives us an opportunity to be more creative, more innovative, and even â€‹more accountable to each other.
