In this episode
In part five of our series exploring our core coaching principles, we're looking at cycles of inquiry — a powerful component of transforming and improving professional practice. As educators, we must maintain a commitment to the inquiry process — identifying challenges, posing questions, implementing interventions, and monitoring for improvements. It is this quest for understanding that helps us evolve to meet the changing needs of our students and school communities.

An inquiry cycle is an ongoing reflection of  what you’ve learned and then how to adapt or adjust either your practice as an educator or your practice as a student. In order to grow to develop or learn something new, you really need to engage in this iterative process where you're learning and then applying or experimenting with next steps.

During an inquiry process, we may find that our original questions need to be refined, or that new information we’ve gathered leads us down a new path. But always, we start with curiosity. We wonder. We ask, “Why?” We imagine.
